Azure optics widened as vocables spilled from
the redhead’s lips, DRENCHED in a pain
that was hard to miss, that made something
inside his chest hurt inexplicably.
He had watched his transformation from
a merciless embodiment of HATRED
to a Kazekage that sincerely cared for
his people & everyone he held dear.
& yet, no matter how hard he tried, there
were always some people who would
see only the WORST of every situation,
pin the blame on him, simply because
of WHAT had been inside him. The
familiarity of the predicament was so
chillingly familiar, he wanted to find
them & make them pay, ruthlessly.
Gaara deserved better. He had accomplished
more than enough to make up for his TAINTED
past. He had worked so hard & proved his worth
as someone more than a mere weapon.
The wagging tongues knew nothing of
how they had SUFFERED. They knew
nothing of the pain & struggle one had
to undergo to redeem themselves for
a mistake that they hadn’t even made
intentionally. & they SURELY didn’t
know how much it hurt Gaara to have
his work all discredited by the ones
who still chose to see him as a mere
DEMON.

taught everyone what 2nd chances really are.
