Tan digits buried themselves in the pockets of his orange hoodie, a defiant glare shot at the other. Did he HONESTLY look like some sort of shoplifter ? Maybe he did. Hiding a comic book under your shirt could give such an impression. But he had his reasons. He had to ensure that Sakura-chan wouldn’t find out that he had been at the comic book store, when he had told her he WASN’T going to waste any of the cash they had left.
Their two-star hotel was already charging more than they could afford, & more than it DESERVED. It was unfair that the hotel charged double for tourists. Maybe they should have just spent their vacation on the beach. He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket, holding it towards the other, vocables spilling a little TOO loudly at the boy who accused him, a little pissed off by the elevation difference.
